2019 American Music Awards: The Country Winners
Carrie Underwood and Dan + Shay walked away multiple winners at the 2019 American Music Awards on Sunday night (Nov. 24). Both country acts won two trophies at the all-genre awards show, which aired live from California.
Underwood received Favorite Female Country Artist and Favorite Country Album at the 2019 AMAs, a fan-voted awards show, while Dan + Shay earned Favorite Country Duo or Group and Favorite Country Song. Kane Brown earned Favorite Male Country Artist.
Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus walked away with one honor for their collaboration "Old Town Road" as well, but it was Taylor Swift who was the night's biggest winner. The country-turned-pop megastar not only was named the AMA Artist of the Decade, she won in five additional categories.
