Delaware County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Victor V. Grandel of Brooklyn and charged him with multiple felonies.  Grandel, 29-years-old, is accused of stealing a vehicle in New York City. The vehicle was involved in an accident on County Route 21 in Franklin.
When deputies responded to the accident scene they found drugs, drug paraphernalia, a loaded gun and hundreds of dollars in cash.  Three men, including Grandel, were in the vehicle when cops arrived. The individuals were taken to the hospital because they sustained injuries during the crash.
Grandel was arrested and then arraigned at the Town of Colchester Court. The judge ordered Grandel locked up in the Delaware County jail pending another court appearance.  Arrest warrants were issued for the other two men in the vehicle. Authorities say those men remain at large.
