Arrest At Oneonta Walgreens

Oneonta Police are reporting that on Monday afternoon, August 10, Stacy L Smith, 38, from Sidney, was arrested for trying to present a forged prescription at the Walgreens pharmacy. It was discovered that a prescription had been submitted in which the refill date was altered to allow the prescription to be filled immediately.

Smith was taken into custody and charged with the class D felony of Possession of a Forged Instrument in the second degree.  Smith was arraigned in the City of Oneonta Court and released to appear at a later date. If convicted, she could be incarcerated for up to 7 years.
