Thanksgiving is this Thursday and my daughter, Tara is going to attempt to cook turkey for the first time. I'm looking forward to it but I know that she's a little nervous. The best advice I have for her is to have the Butterball Turkey Hotline handy.

The Turkey Talk-Line began in 1981 (I thought it had been around for longer than that) with six home economists answering the phone and they fielded around 10,000 questions. 40 years later, it's grown in so many ways.

The 50 plus experts answer more than 100,000 questions from the beginning of November until the end of December. There are so many ways to get ahold of the Butterball experts.

It began with a phone call to get your questions answered and now you can text online chat, or email. Last year they added the Butterball Skill for Amazon Alexa, along with Facebook, and Instagram.

My daughter, Tara was happy to hear that beginning this year, they are even answering your questions by TikTok. By the way, the Turkey Talk-Line has Spanish-speaking experts available for assistance too.

If you are afraid of a turkcatastrophe, then get a hold of them and remember that no question is a bad question. I'm sure that they've heard them all by now anyway. If you are a traditionalist and want to talk turkey, you can call 1-800-BUTTERBALL (1-800-288-8372) You can also text them at 844-877-3456.

I'll let you know next week how my daughter did. If you want to see Traci's son, John explain how to cook a Thanksgiving dinner then check this out.
