Delaware County Public Health Services has been consistently amazing since the start of the pandemic. They have been the media's best friend providing a COVID-19 update in Delaware County every day. Here's the latest look at Delaware County COVID-19 information.
As of yesterday, 99 active positive cases exist in Delaware County with 5 new positives. 228 residents are in mandatory quarantine with 13 in the hospital due to the coronavirus. The total numbers show how much Delaware County has done to combat this pandemic. The total lab report total is at 73,126 with 2,229 positive cases. 2,083 people have recovered while 47 deaths in Delaware County have been linked to COVID-19. Public Health Services reminds the public that the number of positive cases does not truly reflect the current illness because of limited testing capability.
Delaware County Public Health Services has also announced a first dose vaccination clinic. The Moderna vaccination will be available next week, Thursday April 29, at 97 Main St., Delhi from 2-6PM. As long as you are over the age of 18, all New York state residents or people who work in the Empire State can register for this clinic. If you need help with getting registered don't hesitate to call Delaware County Public Health at 607-832-5200. Public health services have a couple of reminders for you. Do not come early and you can't just walk in. You have to register for the April 29th clinic. Currently state data shows that just under 35 percent of county residents have received the vaccine.
