The timing of a pandemic could never be good, but it would be hard to find a worse time for it to happen our FrogFest 32 guest Dylan Jakobson.

Ever the eternal optimist, Dylan used the unexpected down time to reevaluate his priorities and focus on the small things in life. He says the new song, “Don’t Ya Think?” sums up how he got through the shutdown. After spending the past ten years on the road, Dylan says COVID forced him to slowdown and appreciate the little things in life.

It was really  nice to slow down and see things, see life a little differently.

After getting through the first month of shutdown and deciding to "make the most of what was in front of him," Dylan decided he could spread the message of positivity and hope. The message is set to music in the new album, "Set Fire To The Night." Once in the studio his current song, "Don't Ya Think," took on a new feel and the video was set in a dark warehouse with the sun shining through the windows to indicate there is a light at the end of the tunnel.

When not playing virtual concerts on Facebook or writing songs, many artists picked up a hobby to pass the time. For Dylan it wasn't so much a hobby, as a business venture, many people had been pushing him to start. Known for his lengthy beard, Dylan finally had time to start developing beard care products under the brand name, CNTRY. The initial launch includes all-natural grooming, home, and apparel products.

Like all of us, Dylan is ready for playing live shows again. He'll be part of FrogFest 32 presented by Curtis Lumber.  The show is September 18 at the Herkimer County Fairgrounds, here's more information and tickets.
