Construction work in downtown Cooperstown is getting ready to wrap up. Mayor Jeff Katz reported that paving on Pioneer Street is done and new sewer lines along with water lines have been installed. One remaining task in the $1.2 million project is the flagpole which Katz says will be more historic sized – around 50 feet tall. Katz says paid parking revenue and expense reductions allowed the village to fund the project without raising taxes.
