The former Delhi Village Clerk accused of pocketing $4,788 in public funds for her personal use takes a plea deal. Prosecutors say Michele Barnes pleaded guilty to petit larceny for writing four checks to herself from December 2017 to October 2018. She is sentenced to three year’s probation and is required to not be arrested for one year. The plea deal also required Barnes to make full restitution plus $500 to cover the village of Delhi’s insurance deductible.
