Hancock VFD Cancels Coyote Hunt

The Hancock Volunteer Fire Department decides to cancel its annual coyote hunting tournament scheduled for late January. In a social media post the department says organizations and individuals for the protection of animal rights have been continuously harassing the department and its members including threats against personal safety. Due to the concerns for the safety of the residents that they protect and the concerns for firefighter the safety the tournament was called off.
