West Texas' very own Larry Gatlin and the Gatlin Brothers are coming back home--and tonight at the Wagner Noel Performing Arts Center they'll take the stage about a 25 minute drive down the road from where Larry went to High School at Odessa High--where he played football and was quarterback for the class of 1966... starting at 7:30. Doors open at 6:30. Tickets are still available for tonight's performance and they range from $40 to $80. I grew up on their music--all those great songs like "Houston", "All the Gold In California", "She Used To Be Somebody's Baby", "I've Done Enough Dying Today", "Broken Lady", "Love Is Just A Game", "Night Time Magic", "The Lady Takes The Cowboy Every Time", "Statues Without Hearts", "Taking Somebody With Me When I Fall", and probably my all time personal favorite "I Just Wish You Were Someone I Loved", Among their plethora of great gospel songs.....

Originally from Seminole, the three brothers have lived in a few different places here in West Texas including Abilene and Odessa. Dad was an oilfield worker and the boys started their career singing in church. Larry likes to tell the story about how they even beat out Roy Orbison back in 1964 in a talent contest when they were kids... No matter what your favorites are-I know we'll ALL be singing along tonight and remembering all the great times we had listening to these great songs when they were brand new.
