Duck Derby Splashes Into Oneonta, New York

Join Family Resource Network for the Duck Derby, a family-friendly event packed with excitement and fun for all ages! Experience the thrill of multiple rubber duck races down Mill Creek, enjoy face painting, lively music, and a variety of make-and-take crafts. Each year, the organization introduces new and accessible activities to make the day even more enjoyable. This year, they're excited to welcome the Utica Zoomobile!

The event is Saturday, June 8th from noon to 3pm at Neahwa Park, Oneonta.

The Duck Derby is also a great opportunity for local non-profit organizations to connect with community members and showcase their programs. Throughout the afternoon, there will be multiple heats of duck races, with cash prizes awarded to the first, second, and third place finishers in each race. Additionally, the organizers are introducing a special race for corporate sponsors who donate $250 or more. The winning business will receive the Dazzling Duck Trophy to display proudly until the 2025 event.

Ducks can be purchased in advance at the Family Resource Network, located at 46 Oneida Street, Oneonta, or on the day of the event. Ducks are $5 each or 6 for $20.

The Duck Derby is a signature annual fundraiser and agency showcase. The goal is to raise funds for projects and programs not covered by other funding sources. Family Resource Network is seeking corporate sponsors to help us achieve this goal.
