Classic Rock concerts are lining up for the 2025 season, and ready to rock.. Regionally, we will have quite a few concerts to choose from. Even though we rockers are aging a bit (at least I am), it's great to see there are several bands still rocking live on stage and even producing new music.

I have always said that Classic Rock music "stands the test of time!" It's so good that we still love to listen to it decades later, and even younger folks are still discovering those rock 'n' roll classics, the same way we did when we were kids.

One such band that has been rockin' the world is Kansas. They played a couple of times at the Spiedie Fest & Balloon Rally and put on a great show both times. Now they are coming to Tags in Big Flats on May 17th.

Kansas is original drummer Phil Ehart, vocalist and keyboardist Ronnie Platt, keyboardist and /vocalist Tom Brislin, guitarist Zak Rizvi, violinist and guitarist Joe Deninzon, bassist and vocalist Dan McGowan, and original guitarist Richard Williams.  Drummer Eric Holmquist is currently performing on drums while Phil Ehart continues to recover from a heart attack.

Matt Wardlaw from Ultimate Classic Rock, heard daily on 99.1 The Whale from 7 to Midnight, chatted with Ronnie earlier this month to talk about life and Kansas.

And I had the pleasure of speaking with Ronnie Platt as well, discussing his health scare, the band, and the tour. He even came up with a new name for the future of Classic Rock! Check out the interview below, and hopefully we'll see you at the Kansas show.
