
Local Haunted Attractions Are Ready To Give You Chills
Halloween is just over a month away. Almost everywhere you look, there is a sign of Halloween...in stores and decorated homes.
It seems to me that this non-holiday has taken on quite a life of its own over the past decade or so. I don't remember mentions of Halloween anytime before the beginning of October when I was a kid.
No matter, it's time to get into the spirit...so to speak. In addition to all that celebrates Halloween, some cool (and scary) attractions are around the Binghamton area...if you dare.

Here are just a few of the places now open (or soon to open) for a frightful visit:
Slaughterland Scream Park
Features five terrifying attractions, including the Bloodshed, Dark Magic, Wendigo Woods, Frightmares 3D, and Cirque De Mort. Slaughterland Scream Park is located at 666 Barrier Road in Binghamton. Opening date is Saturday, September 27th.

Hellstead Manor
Celebrating 10 years of fear, Hellstead Manor is located at 630 Harmony Road in Hallstead, Pennsylvania. According to the website, Hellstead Manor is a story-based haunt where you begin learning about the real history of the “House” & “Land” that was built in 1851, and then they continue the story for a night you won’t forget.

Reaper's Revenge
Located at 460 Green Grove Road, Olyphant, Pennsylvania, Reaper's Revenge opens the 2025 season on Saturday, September 20th. Reaper’s Revenge takes you through over 60 acres of horror with must-see experiences like the Haunted Hayride, Lost Carnival, Delirium, Pitch Black, and Sector 13.
And for the younger set, Reaper's Revenge also offers Lil' Grim's Pumpkin Hayride, which offers Halloween fun and charm in a safe, welcoming environment for the entire family. Get more details HERE.
