
Meet The Young Talents Repping Binghamton At The Futures Game
On July 1st, the Binghamton Rumble Ponies announced that right-handed pitcher Jonah Tong and outfielder Carson Benge were selected to participate in the 2025 All-Star Futures Game to be held at Truist Park in Atlanta, Georgia, on July 12th, 2025.
22-year-old Jonah Tong is the Mets' #4 prospect and #92 prospect in Major League Baseball Pipeline’s Top 100 prospects. For the Rumble Ponies, Tong leads all of minor league baseball with 115 strikeouts and is second in the minors with a 1.73 ERA in 14 starts.
The Rumble Ponies noted that Tong is second in MiLB and first in all of Double-A with a .137 opponent’s batting average, and his strikeout percentage of 40.5% is second in all of MiLB.

22-year-old Carson Benge is the Mets' #3 prospect and #81 prospect in MLB Pipeline’s Top 100. He was promoted to AA Binghamton on June 23 from High-A Brooklyn. Benge was .302/.417/.480 with an .897 OPS in 60 games, in addition to 68 hits, 37 RBIs, and four home runs with the Brooklyn Cyclones.
Benge, in his first week with the Rumble Ponies, delivered four hits, five walks, and two stolen bases in five games. The Mets selected him with the 19th overall pick in the 2024 draft out of Oklahoma State.
The Futures Game features Major League Baseball’s top prospects as part of MLB All-Star Week and will feature a National League vs. American League format. The Futures Game will air live on the MLB Network and simulcast on MLB.TV, MLB.com, and in the MLB app beginning at 4 p.m. on July 12th.
