
Local Dealership Recognized As One Of America’s Best Workplaces
A local business recently won an incredible national honor.
During a recent presentation, Matthews Import Center and Matthews GM Center, both located on Old Vestal Road in Vestal, revealed that the businesses were named two of the Top 150 Best Dealerships to Work For in the USA.
This honor comes from Automotive News, stating that the award was based on criteria including employee benefits, perks, work-life balance, family-friendly support, minority, women, and veteran hiring, along with employee surveys.
In addition, it was announced that Matthews Auto was also awarded the Philanthropy Award for community service and events. Matthews Auto organizes the Matthews Walkathon every year that benefits children’s charities, along with the Matthews Helping Hand,s which assists employees experiencing hardships.
The award was presented in October during the Nashville Gala. Accepting the awards were Matthews Auto CEO Rob Matthews, President Mark Gaeta, CFO John Totolis, GM Center General Manager Bob Gaeta, and Marketing Director Kathy Breno.

The results were published in the October 13th edition of Automotive News, a national industry-leading publication. Matthews Auto notes that this was the company's first win.

Automotive News is considered the “Bible” of the automotive industry, which boasts over 18,000 new car dealerships in the United States. Representatives of Matthews Auto commented that they are honored and humbled by this incredible award, thanking their employees for their contributions in achieving this recognition.
