Kristian Bush, Dan Tyminski List All the Ways to Relax in ‘Everybody Needs Their Beach’ [LISTEN]
Kristian Bush has unveiled "Everybody Needs Their Beach," a breezy new collaboration with bluegrass musician and vocalist Dan Tyminski about all the different ways there are in the world to hit pause on life and enjoy a little quality rest and relaxation. The track comes off Bush's new project, the six-song Summertime Six Pack, which came out on Friday (May 31.)
"Everybody Needs Their Beach" is one of five brand new songs on the project, which also features the previously released "Flip Flops." Each track on the collection will focus on some element of surf, sand and fun in the sun. Press play above to listen to the summery new tune.
Best known for his work with Alison Krauss and Union Station, Tyminski also appears in the soundtrack to the 2000 film O Brother Where Art Thou?, playing the singing voice of George Clooney's character. While his roots are in bluegrass, Tyminski has been known to experiment with other forms and genres: His 2017 solo record, Southern Gothic, boasts some EDM and electro-pop inflections. Still, the performer adds a touch of acoustic, feel-good twang to his collaboration with the country star.
Just after releasing his Summertime Six Pack, Bush will hit the road for a run of June 2019 co-headlining tour dates with Rita Wilson. Later in the year, he will rejoin his duo partner Jennifer Nettles for a string of Sugarland tour dates. Earlier in 2019, Bush also formed a new free-form, impromptu onstage duo with fellow country star Lindsay Ell called the Speakeasy Social Club. The pair have appeared in that configuration a handful of times, usually during surprise shows.
