Many of us would like to live a long life and we are always looking for ways to extend it. Here's a new one but if it fits the narrative, I'll give it a listen. If you would like to live into your 90's, drinking a cold brew could help.

There was a study that stated that men can double their chances of reaching the age of 90 if they drink a half pint of beer a day. My worry is that I wouldn't want the other half pint to go to waste.

Women who drink around the same amount will increase their chances by a third. The study also states that moderate drinking is good for your heart health but too much booze can be toxic.

If you are a non-drinker, this is no reason to start drinking. In fact, the study also stated that there was no evidence to suggest non-drinkers should start for the good of their health.

However, with that being said, you are invited to be a part of the 7th annual "Binghamton on Tap" this Saturday at the Broome County Fairgrounds in Whitney Point. The weather looks good with sunshine and temperatures in the 70s.

Get your tickets in advance and you'll save money. You can get your tickets on Saturday at the event but it will cost you more. Since your going anyway, you might as well get them now.

The festival goes from  2 p.m. to 5 p.m. but if you get advance VIP tickets, you'll be able to begin at 1 p.m. Great food, outdoor games, and live music by the Gents promise to make it a great time for everyone.

I hope to see you on Saturday as we look to extend our lives to the age of 90.

What Are the Signature Drinks From Every State?

LOOK: Best Beers From Every State

To find the best beer in each state and Washington D.C., Stacker analyzed January 2020 data from BeerAdvocate, a website that gathers user scores for beer in real-time. BeerAdvocate makes its determinations by compiling consumer ratings for all 50 states and Washington D.C. and applying a weighted rank to each. The weighted rank pulls the beer toward the list's average based on the number of ratings it has and aims to allow lesser-known beers to increase in rank. Only beers with at least 10 rankings to be considered; we took it a step further to only include beers with at least 100 user rankings in our gallery.
