LISTEN: Michael Ray Tells 98.1 The Hawk His Favorite Song That Never Made It Big
Michael Ray and the Beadle Brothers are coming to Touch of Texas on Saturday, March 5th. I've had the chance to chat with Michael twice.
The first time was at the Taste Of Country Music Festival at Hunter Mtn. It was a busy day for him so we only had a little time to talk before it was on to the next radio station. The second time was over the phone and we had a lot more time to interact with each other.
While we were waiting to go back on the air, I took the opportunity to let Michael know what my favorite song of his was. You might guess that it would be one of his BIG hits like "Kiss You In The Morning" or "One That Got Away."
Michael Ray Her World Or Mine
They are fantastic songs but they aren't my personal favorites. It was none other than "Her World Or Mine." It wasn't one of his biggest hits although it's sold over 500,000 copies (Gold-Certified)
I was telling Michael that this is a song that EVERYONE can relate to and we've probably been on both sides of that world. There's that one person that you get over before the night is through and the next one is someone that you can't get off your mind or heart.
He told me that is what drew him to record the song and the way it plays on both sides. He also told me the reaction it gets when he's on the stage is amazing. Here is our off-air conversation.
For me, that is what country music is all about. You'll hear that song for sure on Saturday night at Touch of Texas and I'm curious to see how everyone reacts.
If you haven't heard it, then you've been missing out. Take a listen:
