New York has added new free sport fishing days where residents and non-residents are permitted to fish without obtaining a fishing license. According to Governor Cuomo’s office those days include the weekend preceding Presidents Day, Veterans Day and on National Hunting and Fishing Day which is the fourth Saturday in September. Cuomo’s office also announced that sporting licenses and Deer Management Permits for the 2017-18 season will be available for purchase beginning Tuesday.
