Bassett Healthcare Network just announced some changes in services that officials say are "temporary". The following changes went into effect as of yesterday (9/28/21) and it's not known how long they will continue.

Outpatient Laboratory blood draw change

Before these new changes, if you needed your blood drawn, you didn't need an appointment. You would just show up and it was "first-come, first-served". Now you need to make an appointment to have your blood drawn at Bassett facilities. Walk-ins will not be accepted. Appointments are available Monday through Friday, from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with limited Saturday appointments only at some locations. Patients can schedule an appointment online using the MyBassett Health Connection portal (www.mybassetthealthconnection.org). If you need assistance, call 607-547-3700.

One Less Convenient Care location

Of the three Bassett Convenient Care locations, the one in Cooperstown is temporarily closed until further notice. If you need Convenient Care services, you can make an appointment in Oneonta by calling 607-433-6400. In Herkimer, call 315-867-2884. Same and next-day appointments are available 7 days a week. Visit Bassett Healthcare Network’s Convenient Care webpage to learn more and stay up-to-date.

Longer call wait times possible

When calling any Bassett Healthcare facility, it's possible that you may be on hold longer than usual. Bassett asks patients to please be patient and they promise to "address your needs as quickly and efficiently as possible". You can get around this by using your MyBassett Health Connection to message your practitioner, schedule blood draws and future appointments, and view lab results.
