Oneonta Man Arrested and Charged in Robbery Spree

According to an Oneonta Police Department press release;

"On Friday April 24, 2020 at about 9:30 PM as a result of an investigation by the City of Oneonta Police Detective bureau in conjunction with the New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation, arrested was:

Brian L. Ruple, 41 years of age, from Oneonta NY

for the felonies of:

Robbery in the first degree, a class B Felony; and

Attempted Robbery in the first degree a class C Felony.

Both charges are in relation to reported robberies that occurred on the morning of April 24, 2020 at the Quickway Convenience Store, 65 Chestnut St Oneonta NY and Taylors Gas Station, 472 Main St. Oneonta NY.

Brian L Ruple was held at the City of Oneonta Police Department lock up until arraignment.

The maximum sentence or a class B Felony is a term of imprisonment not to exceed 25 years;

The maximum sentence for a class C felony is a term of imprisonment not to exceed 15 years."
