The American Red Cross has announced that it is eliminating its Mohawk Valley Chapter which has been serving Delaware, Herkimer, Oneida, and Otsego Counties. Beginning in April, Delaware and Otsego counties will become part of the Southern Tier Chapter of the American Red Cross. Officials say that all services will remain the same despite the restructuring. Blood donation locations will stay the same and the Red Cross will continue to maintain an office in Utica.
