Released Delaware County Jail Inmate Back In Jail Only Hours Later

A suspect who was released on Tuesday from the Delaware County Correctional Facility under New York’s bail reform law ends up back in jail a few hours later. According to the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office 21-year-old Eusebio Jax-Mejia stole a vehicle from the Delaware County Public Safety building. Jax-Mejia was originally jailed on New Year’s Day. He is now facing a felony theft charge and is being held pending further court action.
