The subject of countless Hollywood productions over the past century, anytime someone claims to have proof of a visit from something not of this planet it grabs our attention. Sure, the rational part of our brain knows that the likelihood of an extraterrestrial visitor is exceedingly slim, at best. But what does it hurt to hear someone out about their perceived encounter with an alien?

Plus if you're like me, you absolutely believe there's intelligent life out there in the universe. I fall well short of the "they're already here" portion of believing in aliens. I find it hard to believe that after all these decades, an alien race has somehow managed to fly through space to our planet undetected and study us without anybody but a select few finding out they existed. I also find it hard to believe that an alien race capable of long distance interplanetary travel would even care about Earth.

But that doesn't stop the people from claiming "they know what they saw." And according to the National UFO Reporting Center, there have been 5618 UFO reports filed in New York alone. And who knows how many "sightings" have gone unreported over the years.

So I took the liberty of going through every reported UFO sighting in New York in 2022 and compiled a nice list of the 25 weirdest that I found.
