UHS Primary Care in Walton Expanding Hours

As NYS is allowing a measured approach to re-opening, UHS Delaware Valley Hospital (DVH) is transitioning to a more business as usual approach. Beginning June 1, the UHS Primary Care office in Walton will be open from 8 AM to 6 PM Monday through Thursday and from 8:30 AM to

5 PM on Friday. Many community members may be returning to work as Phase 2 of the re-opening plan begins. The evening hours will be helpful for those who would otherwise have to take time off from work to see their primary care provider. To make an appointment call 607-865-2400

The Cardiology and Spine Care and Pain Relief specialty clinics are both offering appointments, and the tele-mental health visits are also continuing.

The safety of patients, staff and community members continues to be the top priority, so some guidelines remain in place for all DVH facilities. Patients should call ahead to make an appointment, and when arriving, should call from their car before entering. This will help ensure fewer people in the waiting rooms at one time. Appointments are being scheduled farther apart to also help alleviate any congestion in the waiting rooms. Everyone must wear a mask while on the premises and finally, DVH is still offering virtual visits or telephone visits should patients be unable to come in to the office.

The Physical Therapy department is scheduling in-person appointments, which are also staggered to reduce the numbers of people in the department at a time. The Imaging department is also scheduling appointments farther apart.

The DVH lab at opens at 7:30 AM Monday through Friday. If you are not fasting for your test, coming a little later in the morning, or even in the afternoon will reduce your wait time and the number of people waiting to be seen.

People entering the hospital for testing must enter through the Emergency Room Walk-in Entrance. They will speak with a screener prior to entering the building and be given a mask if they do not have one. Their temperature may be taken depending on their situation.

Visitors are still not allowed in the Emergency Department or hospital except under special circumstances. Family and friends of patients can call the hospital at 607-865-2100 and speak with a staff member about any specific needs or questions.
