If it happens, the Barefoot Country Music Festival in Wildwood is going to be the biggest collection of country music that South Jersey has experienced, well, ever!

The festival is slated for August 19 - 22 on the beach in Wildwood. The three day fest is actually over FOUR days, with a separately-ticketed Thursday night concert beginning the big weekend.

Just added to the festival line-up yesterday - on International Women's Day - were Lindsay Ell, Ingrid Andress, and Carolyn Miller.

Headliners for the festival include Carrie Underwood, Dan + Shay, and the Zac Brown Band, with a Thursday headliner yet to be annnounced.

Other announced performers so far are Lynyrd Skynryd, Billy Currington, Jimmy Allen, Jon Pardi and Chris Lane, with more to be announced. All told, festival organizers are promising over 30 different performers. The day that each act will be performing has not yet been announced.

The location is the same beach in Wildwood  where Kenny Chesney did a concert in 2012, and Tim McGraw performed in 2016.

The Barefoot Country Music Festival was originally scheduled for June of 2020, but was postponed until June or 2021 because of the pandemic. A move to August of this year quickly followed. As of now, all systems are a "GO" for this event.

Organizers worked with officials in the New Jersey Governor's office in attempt to settle on a date that would be acceptable for outdoor concerts of this magnitude. Again, our fingers are firmly crossed!
