Community Garden Gets Grant

The City of Oneonta is the recipient of a $25,000 NYS Agriculture and Markets Community Growers Grant to make improvements to the Community Garden located at the Swart-Wilcox Park on Wilcox Avenue. Among the work to be done is installation of a new accessible area with 4 raised table top beds, a new accessible path from the street and sidewalk to the garden, reinforced fencing to keep animals out, extending the water system through the length of the garden, a new shed and communal gardening equipment.
