We are approaching the one-year anniversary of the coronavirus pandemic when businesses were shut down, people stayed in place and everyone put on a mask. Facebook memories from last year are popping up and we remember how things were a year ago and we wish we could go back to that time.

I've also noticed that more people are stressing out because it seems like this may not come to an end anytime soon. We are being told that we may still be wearing masks in 2022.

We are feeling STRESSED OUT and we need to get the stress out. Are you feeling stressed out? Here are some of the signs.

You're zoning out and can't concentrate. This is something that I've noticed lately. I'll ask a question and I don't remember the reply. I've also had conversations and a half-hour later I can't remember what I talked about.

You've become super-sensitive to noise. I've had the same clock downstairs every since I moved into it. For some reason, I hear the tick-tock all the time when I'm laying down in my bed.

You can't sit still. When I get home after work, I like to sit in my chair and decompress. I may be sitting still but my mind is racing a mile-a-minute. I may be getting a little physical rest but mentally I'm running a sprint.

You snap at the small stuff. I think that I'm a patient person and slow to anger. However, I noticed that I've been snapping at people who didn't deserve it for reasons that don't really matter. It makes me feel bad and that makes my stress even worse.

How many of these apply to you? Do you know someone that are showing these signs of stress? Let them know they aren't alone and you are there for them. After all, we aren't created to do life alone. Instead of focusing on the stress, try to find the good.

Here's my good news for me and my daughter, Tara. Chenango Valley School District is going to vote today on whether they will have a play this year. I'm hearing that it will pass and I couldn't be happier for my daughter and the rest of the theater group.
