SUNY Oneonta has made it into the top 10 public schools in the Northeast region according to the U.S. News and World Report’s 2020 rankings of Best Colleges released Monday.

SUNY Oneonta came in at number 52 in the “Best Regional Universities—North” category, which includes institutions in New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, Delaware and New England that offer a full range of undergraduate and master's degrees, but few, if any, doctoral programs.

Among public universities in that region, SUNY Oneonta is ranked 9th. The college is also ranked 16th in the “Best Undergraduate Teaching” category.

SUNY Oneonta President Barbara Jean Morris says "these rankings and reviews affirm that SUNY Oneonta continues to provide students with an excellent educational experience and the support they need to succeed."
