Nourish NY Program Gets Federal Funding

The Nourish New York program is getting an additional $10 million from the Federal CARES Act bringing its total funding to $35 million according to Governor Cuomo's Office. The program was launched last April. in response to the financial hardships dairy farmers were facing with the loss of key markets along with greatly increased demand that New York’s food banks were seeing from COVID-19. The funding will keep the program running at least through the end of the year.
